[MSI] Remove dialogΒΆ

Remove the dialog box from the MSI package. Control what will be removed: just the dialog invoke or the dialog with all associated data such as controls, events, conditions.

Important

Precondition: Open an MSI package in MSI Editor (see Open MSI/MST).

  1. Go to the Package Designer > Installation dialogs tab.

  2. Select the Remove from the context menu of a dialog that you need to remove. This will remove only the particular dialog invoke. After removing all instances of the dialog invokes, the dialog will appear in the Unreferenced dialogs section. Removing a dialog from that section will remove the dialog with all associated data such as controls, events, conditions.
    To remove the dialog completely in one click, select Remove with all references from the context menu. This will remove all invokes of this dialog, dialog itself, and all associated data such as controls, events, conditions.
