PACE Suite 6.4: Intune Integration, MSIX Bundler, App Attach, IntelliSense for PSADT & More

PACE Products has launched theirs latest version of the app packaging tool PACE Suite 6.4, delivering a host of new features to streamline app packaging and deployment.

The new release introduces Microsoft Intune integration, IntelliSense for PSADT scripts, MSIX Bundles and App Attach creation, empowering IT professionals and developers to work more efficiently.

Microsoft Intune Integration

The integration with Microsoft Intune enables quick and seamless filling of your Intune catalog with the applications. PACE Suite users can now publish MSI, MSIX, APPX, and INTUNEWIN packages directly to their Intune catalog via a tailored publishing wizard that auto-detects most settings based on the selected package. For unsupported formats, PACE Suite makes it easy to wrap any installation into the INTUNEWIN format.

This seamless integration reduces complexity, enhances accuracy, and accelerates application deployment.

MSIX Bundles and App Attach

PACE Suite 6.4 introduces powerful enhancements for managing MSIX packages:

  • MSIX Bundles: Easily create and manage MSIX bundles to combine multiple architectures (x86, x64, ARM) into a single package. Open and edit individual packages directly within the bundle without manual unpacking. The new feature is available through MSIX Editor > Create bundle / Open menu
  • MSIX App Attach: Convert MSIX packages into MSIX App Attach format, enabling dynamic app delivery to virtualized Windows environments without traditional installation.

These tools streamline app delivery and app management in virtualized environments.

IntelliSense for PSADT Scripts

To enhance your scripting experience, we’ve implemented the IntelliSense feature for PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit (PSADT) scripts. This functionality provides:

  • Real-time syntax suggestions for commands, variables, and parameters
  • Context-sensitive documentation with definitions and examples
  • Code completion for built-in custom PSADT commands and common PowerShell commands.

IntelliSense helps users write higher-quality scripts faster, avoiding errors and typos.

Other Improvements

PACE Suite 6.4 contains a range of more minor updates for a smoother, more intuitive, and efficient packaging process, such as:

  • Enhanced validation for VBScript retirement: automatic check if the opened MSI package contains Custom Actions with VBScript.
  • Improved UI/UX in the IntuneWIN publishing wizard.
  • Automatic MSI packages check for files > 2GB which Windows Installer doesn't support.
  • Fixes for stability and usability, ensuring a smoother packaging process.

PACE Suite 6.4 includes fixes from the minor PACE Suite 6.3.1 update, entirely built on the requests from our customers. Read the complete updates review in the PACE Suite release notes and learn how to use all of the new features in the User Guide.
