PACE Suite 6.2: Build MSI in CI/CD Tools & Edit Installation Dialogs
The brand-new 6.2 release of PACE Suite, a tool for application packaging, comes with extended features to help a broader range of IT professionals effectively deal with software packaging.
Installation Creation for Your Applications
From now on, independent software vendors can fully take advantage of the solution as PACE Suite releases new functionality – MSI Build in CI/CD, designed explicitly for software developers.
The new feature can be integrated into the most common CI/CD tools, allowing software vendors to create MSI installers for their applications automatically.
MSI Build in CI/CD provides an intuitive GUI and allows you to easily configure MSI installer projects without getting stuck in the details.
The File Harvesting feature enables adding any dynamic set of files generated by compiling the program code. In addition, it can apply exclude and include filters to identify only the files needed, work with relative and absolute paths, and support user-defined variables in paths.
Editor for Installation Dialogs
The new dialog editor functionality allows effortless revision and editing of the dialog box and easy management of the dialog tree in an MSI installation.
The seamless dialog box management, efficient editing of dialog controls, events, and conditions, effortless dialog export/import, simplified configuration, built-in simulation of installation UI to test changes, and many more advantages of the Editor for Installation Dialogs significantly save time and effort for the user.
Upgraded Package Templates
The new version of app packaging tool also includes new MSI templates, based on which MSI packages are created in the MSI Editor and Package Generator. The templates are much cleaner and include user-friendly installation wizards for the package’s initial installation, maintenance, and removal.
Increased IntuneWin Limits to 30 GB
The popular Unified Endpoint Management solution recently increased the size limit for Win32 apps from 8 GB to 30 GB. Now, PACE Suite supports creating an IntuneWin package up to 30 GB.
