        PACE Suite New Release 5.6 Is Out Now!

        Pace Suite 5.6 is here with the extended functionality of Package Designer.

        Highlights:

        • UI for Environment Variables
          With the brand new tab Environment Variables there will be no longer a need to deep dive into particularity of MSI tables. This tab will be installed by the MSI package via a simple and user-friendly Package Designer interface. The long set of prefixes, combinations, and special characters of the Environment table is now presented as a dialog with available and compatible settings, written in simple language. The new tab enables users to control variable name and value; its installation type; actions on install / uninstall; order; component, which will trigger variable installation/de-installation.

        • UI for Services
          The Services tab of Package Designer allows users to install and control Windows services. It combines the content of both ServiceInstall and ServiceControl tables in a single place to make it easier to find resources affected by the MSI.
