[MSIX] Replace fileΒΆ

Replace the existing file in the MSIX/APPX package with a new file.

Important

Precondition: Open the MSIX package in MSIX Editor (see Open MSIX/APPX).

  1. Go to the Package Designer > Files and folders tab.

  2. Select Replace file from the context menu of a file that you need to replace.

  3. Choose a new file source and click Open.

  4. The old file will be deleted and highlighted with a gray-yellow background; and the newly added file will be automatically selected and highlighted with a green background.
