[MSI] Add subfolderΒΆ

Add a new subfolder (user-defined folder) to the MSI package.

Important

Precondition: Open an MSI package in MSI Editor (see Open MSI/MST).

  1. Go to the Package Designer > Files and folders tab.

  2. In the top right corner, click the Filters button and untick Hide empty folder and Hide items without permissions to check if the package already contains the necessary folder.

  3. To add a folder, select New subfolder from the context menu where you want to create this new folder.

    Note

    System folders have the grey icon, and subfolders (e.g. user-defined folders) have the brown icon.

  4. Enter a folder name and click Add.
