[MGP][MSIX/APPX settings] DLL fixup (PSF)

This fixup redirects dll loading IO calls to an appx/msix friendly location for dlls in the package.

When to use: When the packaged App is unable to run because it does not find dlls that are part of the package.

The Package Support Framework (PSF) is an open source kit that allows to apply runtime fixes to the repackaged Win32 app that fails to run in an MSIX container.

Important

Precondition: Open a project in Package Generator (see Open MGP project).

  1. Go to the Shortcuts\Apps > MSIX tab.

  2. Select New DLL fixup from the context menu of an app that fails.

  3. Specify a DLL file that can’t be found by the app in the DLL file field. Then, click Save.
