[MGP][MSIX/APPX settings] Manifest

Edit the manifest file of the MSIX/APPX package during building.

Important

Precondition: Open a project in MSI Generator (see Open MGP project).

  1. Go to the Package > MSIX tab.

  2. Tick Interrupt building the package for manual editing the manifest and click Build UWP.

  3. In the opened window, click Go to… to open the folder with the prepared manifest file. Edit manifest using any text editor. After saving the file, tick I have finished editing and closed the manifest file(s) and click Continue.

  4. The modified manifest is validated against the schemas and the found errors will be displayed in the window. You can ignore them and continue package building or close the window and fix the manifest.
