[MSIX] ManifestΒΆ

Edit the manifest file of the MSIX/APPX package directly in your preferrable text editor.

Important

Precondition: Open the MSIX package in MSIX Editor (see Open MSIX/APPX).

  1. Go to the Package Designer > Manifest tab and click Edit manifest.

  2. In the opened dialog, click Edit to open the manifest in the default text editor, or click Go to to open a folder with the manifest file that you can edit in any other text editor tool.

  3. After editing the manifest, save and close the file. Then, tick I have finished editing and closed the manifest and click Continue.

  4. The modified manifest is validated against the schemas and the found errors will be displayed in the dialog. You can ignore them and continue or close the window and fix the manifest.
