[MSIX] Package Identity and ArchitectureΒΆ

Defines a globally unique identifier for the MSIX package.

Important

Precondition: Open the MSIX package in MSIX Editor (see Open MSIX/APPX).

  1. Ensure that the General tab is opened.

  2. Click Edit to modify the package identity.

  3. Update the necessary package identity properties such as Package name, Publisher, Version, and Architecture. Afterwards, click Save.

    Note

    Please note that the Publisher must match the publisher subject information of the certificate used to sign a package. With this aim the Publisher field is disabled and inherits a value from the certificate, if the digital signature certificate is specified at the Package Designer > Digital signature tab.
