[MSI] Edit driver optionsΒΆ

Edit device driver details (installation options, conditions and target architecture) of the MSI package.

Important

Precondition: Open an MSI package in MSI Editor (see Open MSI/MST).

  1. Go to the Package Designer > Drivers tab.

  2. Select Edit from the context menu of a driver that you need to edit.

  3. Update the necessary driver settings. The specified Installation conditions will be applied to the driver component (see Conditional Statement Syntax), and the selected Target architecture defines which DIFx tool (32-bit or 64-bit) will be integrated into the package. Click Save to update the driver settings.

    Warning

    The package can not contain both 32-bit and 64-bit DIFx tool. To install the driver on both 32-bit and 64-bit platforms, you have to create separate packages for them.
