[MGP][MSI settings] Merge Modules (MSM)ΒΆ

Enable Merge Modules in the MGP project (i.e. scan project resource and show suitable modules). The selected settings will be applied during MSI package building.

Important

Precondition: Open a project in Package Generator (see Open MGP project).

  1. Switch to the Package tab and ensure that the MSI package format is selected.

  2. Click Edit, located next to the MSI settings profile field, to modify the profile settings.

  3. Go to the Merge Modules tab and tick Scan project file for Merge Modules.

    Warning

    At least one pool (folder) of Merge Modules should be added and enabled. The pre-defined pool is located at C:\Program Files (x86)\PACE Suite\MSI Generator\Modules.

Note

Pools of Merge Modules are analyzed during MSI package building (when you click Build MSI). If your MGP project contains resources that could be replaced with Merge Modules, you will get the list of such modules.

Tick modules that you want to integrate to the MSI package instead of project resources and click Apply.
