[MSI] Add registry key

Add a new registry key to the MSI package.

Important

Precondition: Open an MSI package in MSI Editor (see Open MSI/MST).

  1. Go to the Package Designer > Registry tab.

  2. Select New key from the context menu where you need to create a new key.

  3. Enter a key name and select an associated component. Afterwards, click Add.

    Note

    The associated component is used to link the ‘Forced key creation on install’ value that will be automatically created with the key to comply with the MSI requirements.
