[MGP] Delete files/folders permanently

Delete files or folders from the MGP project.

Important

Precondition: Open a project in Package Generator (see Open MGP project).

1. Go to the Files tab.

   

2. If the resource you need to delete is not ‘Excluded’:
   1. Select Exclude from the context menu of the resource you need to delete.

      Note

      Only the ‘Excluded’ items (highlighted in yellow and crossed out) can be deleted.

      

   2. If something (registry, services, shortcuts, apps) refer to the file/folder you are excluding, you will get the list of such references.

      By default, all linked resources will be excluded to maintain the project integrity. You can untick items that you want to keep ‘Included’. Then click Exclude.

      

3. Select Delete from the context menu of the excluded item that you need to delete.

   

4. In case you are deleting files, sources of which were copied to the project folder, click Delete to confirm file deletion from the file system.

   

   Note

   Files that are located outside the project folder on the file system will not be affected.
