[MSI] Edit INI file

Edit a content, name, installation folder and component of the INI file that is stored in the IniFile table.

Warning

Files with the INI extensions that are stored in the File table as binary files can’t be edited in this way.

Important

Precondition: Open an MSI package in MSI Editor (see Open MSI/MST).

  1. Go to the Package Designer > INI entries tab.

  2. Select Properties from the context menu of the INI file that you need edit.

  3. Modify the required fields. To edit INI content, use the context menu to add/edit the key-value pairs and sections of the INI file. Then, click Save.
