[MGP] Edit registry key

Edit a registry key in the MGP project.

Important

Precondition: Open a project in MSI Generator (see Open MGP project).

  1. Go to the Registry tab.

  2. Select Properties from the context menu of a registry key that you need to edit.

    Warning

    The ‘Excluded’ items (highlighted in yellow and crossed out) can’t be edited.

  3. Update the necessary key details and click Save.

    Note

    Changing Parent key or Root leads to moving this key with all of its subkeys and values to a new location.
