[MSI] Export (extract) all files

Export (extract) all files of the package from the compressed internal/extrenal CAB to the specified folder. To export a one specific file of the package, see [MSI] Export (extract) file.

The export file function can be useful when you need to get and modify the compressed file of the MSI package. To replace the existing file in the package with the new one, see [MSI] Replace file.

Warning

Only files that are stored in the File table can be extracted.

Important

Precondition: Open an MSI package in MSI Editor (see Open MSI/MST).

1. Select MENU > Import and export > Export all files of the package.

   

2. Choose a destination location where to save all exported files of the package and click Select Folder.

   

3. The total number of exported files will be displayed in the information dialog.

   

4. Find the exported files of the package in the previously selected folder. Note that files are located in the folder structure that corresponds to the structure in MSI.
