[MSI] Add subfolderΒΆ

Add a new subfolder (user-defined folder) to the MSI package.

Important

Precondition: Open an MSI package in MSI Editor (see Open MSI/MST).

  1. Go to the Package Designer > Files and folders tab.

  2. Untick the Hide empty folder and Hide items without permissions filters to check if the necessary folder does not exist in the package.

  3. To add a folder, select New subfolder from the context menu where you want to create this new folder.

    Note

    System folders have the grey icon, and subfolders (e.g. user-defined folders) have the brown icon.

  4. Enter a folder name and click Add.
