MSI Generator CLI¶
Command line options of MSI Generator allows to automate building MSI, MSIX, APPX and APPV packages from a batch of capturing projects.
Warning
To build APPV, run MSI Generator in the admin mode.
Syntax:
"MsiGenerator.exe" <command> [--parameter "value"]
Usage:
"MsiGenerator.exe" build-msi --project "C:\PKG\Abc\project.mgp" --output-package "C:\PKG\Abc\package.msi"
The default installation path of MsiGenerator.exe
is:

Build an MSI package from the project (.MGP file). See parameters of the Build MSI command. Note Since version 5.3.2 PACE Suite builds MSI packages with the UTF-8 code page of a database. A package with this encoding is capable of installing resources with extended characters in the titles. |
